The Northville High School Choirs delivered a beautiful Fall Concert titled Day and Night: Songs from Dawn to Dusk, now available to watch online thanks to Fred Shadko’s recording. The NHS Music Boosters have also launched a new sponsorship program and Choir Tour Scholarship Fund to support students traveling to New York City this May.

Northville Public Schools has launched Mentally Strong Mustangs, a new initiative focused on promoting student wellness, resilience, and balance for those involved in academics and extracurricular activities.

The Northville Educational Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2025–2026 grants, offering $70,750 to support innovative projects that enhance learning across the district, including $10,000 dedicated to Cooke School. Students and educators are encouraged to apply by the respective deadlines to bring their creative ideas to life and make a lasting impact on Northville classrooms.

Northville Public Schools will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students for the 2025–26 school year following the signing of the state budget by Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Families are encouraged to complete the Education and Nutrition Benefits form to access additional supports like sports and testing fee waivers.

The Northville Educational Foundation and Novi Educational Foundation are going head-to-head in the Baseline Blitz, with a 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, October 12 and a Tailgate on Friday, October 17, all to raise funds supporting local students and schools. The Northville Board of Education has appointed Mackenzie Simpson as the district’s next Secondary Supervisor of Special Education. A dedicated advocate for inclusion, Simpson brings extensive experience from her role as an ASD Consultant in Northville and a strong background in special education leadership, where she has consistently championed equitable and student-centered practices.

Northville High School’s Homecoming festivities kick off Friday, October 3rd with the parade at 6:00 p.m., starting at Old Village School and ending at Sports Den Field. The Mustangs take on Canton at 7:00 p.m., with the Homecoming King and Queen crowned at halftime.

Northville High School Choirs present their Fall Concert, Day and Night, Songs from Dawn to Dusk, on Wednesday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the NHS Auditorium. Tickets are $10, with optional donations supporting the spring Choir Tour and special recognition for gifts of $40 or more.
