Registering for Online Courses

The State of Michigan, under Section 5-O-D of the Pupil Accounting Manual, has launched the choice for parents to request that their student(s), be enrolled in no more than two (2) online courses in place of a currently scheduled course. Northville Public Schools (NPS) supports online learning, and as a District, we pride ourselves on forward movement on innovative uses of technology to support learning. Our solid history of meaningful and deep learning that takes place across the district with highly qualified Northville teachers is noteworthy and impressive in terms of our accomplishments and student growth. However, we encourage parents to consider carefully if a 100% online course is ideal for their child given the fact that they will be forfeiting face-to-face teacher classroom instruction and support.

Complete BOTH of the following steps in order to register for online courses:

  • Step 1: Request online courses via MiStar. You will select V-111111 for each online course you want first semester and V-222222 for each online course you want during second semester.
  • Step 2: Submit the 2024-2025 Online Course Registration Form. In this form you will specify for which online course(s) you are registering.
